Music by Chopin

A forerunner to an album series of Fryderyk Chopin's music as performed by Kayo Nishimizu, a pianist of Japanese origin, whom admiration to the great composer and piano virtuoso has brought to Poland. The main theme of the record is centered around ways of defining music by Chopin himself and music’s essence being a coexistence of love, breath and harmony, which are experienced both by the pianist and the listener.

Fryderyk Chopin:
Nocturne E flat major, Op. 9 No. 2
Scherzo B minor, Op. 20
Grande Valse Brillante E flat najor Op. 18
Polonaise A flat major, Op. 53
Mazurka, Op. 59 No. 1 A minor
Mazurka, Op. 59 No. 2 A flat major
Mazurka, Op. 59 No. 3 F sharp minor
Sonata B minor, Op. 58

‘A word is begotten by sound – the sound before the word’
‘A word: a certain transfiguration of sound’

‘Expression of our sensations through sounds’
‘Expression of thoughts through sounds’
‘Manifestation of our emotion in sounds’

‘The kind of art manifesting itself in sounds is called music’

In this way
Our great composer - Frederic Chopin -
defined music.
He is the only of the great composers to have written
all his works for piano or
with piano accompaniment.
Owing to this fact, I can play them all.

The more Chopin I play,
the more convinced I am that
the crucial rules of his music are
 love, breath and harmony.

How peculiar is it that
these rules can be applied to our daily lives, as well...
